Absorable Screws: AbsorbaTack-Autosutur: When the operation is performed with the Closed Method, the meshes are fixed with screws by special devices at its corners. This device, which looks like the automatic staplers used by upholsteries, shots a mini-screw in form a helix of 5mm when triggered. Until close history these screws made of Titanium was used. The company Autosuture manufactured these screws out of an absorbable material. The screws, which are used at the closed operation with the laparoscopic method to fix the mesh, are absorbed by the tissues in maximal 1 year.

AbsorbaTack is designed for single usage, it has two models with 10 and 20 screws inside. As the tops of the screws are not sharp as at Titanium, there is not risk of an injury for the patient and the surgery team. The black marks at the head of the screws provide that they are easy visible. Whilst a serious solution is seen in 3-5 months after the operations, these screws completely disappear before the end of one year. So, the load of foreign objects in the body after the operation will be decreased.
