Inginual hernia is divided into 3 groups: direct inginual hernias, indirect inginual hernias and femoral hernias. These three incur at different locations which are close to each other and may be easily mixed up with each other by the treatment of all three is the same. Indirect inginual hernias are congenital, incur due to that the hernia tube is opened by itself and afterwards. It is rather seen at kids and young ones. Direct hernias protrude through muscle rips, incur at sportsmen and elder patients. Femoral hernias protrude through the femoral hole, are the most seldom seen ones and incur more often at women.

These are hernias of the inginual region. They are the most seen among all abdominal wall hernias: left and right inginual hernias constitute 90% of all hernias. The great majority of these facts are at men: they are seen at 1 woman against 9 men.
